The epic conclusion of the Jurassic era hits cinemas June 2022.
Okay let me preface this. I’m not a huge fan of the new Jurassic World films. I’ll be honest, I’m not even a big fan of The Lost World: Jurassic Park or Jurassic Park 3. They all have that Jaws effect, the first one was the best and everything afterwards seems to miss the original point of the film by trying to be bigger or more FX driven.
Hell they even poke fun of that in the first Jurassic World when Dr. Henry Wu says:
“You are acting like we are engaged in some kind of mad science, but we are doing what we have done from the beginning. Nothing in Jurassic World is natural! We have always filled gaps in the genomes with the DNA of other animals, and if their genetic code was pure, many of them would look quite different, but you didn’t ask for reality; you asked for more teeth!”
Echoing what the studios thought we all wanted from these films, more action and less story.
That being said, I’ll always give a film the benefit of the doubt and I will hold my hands up and admit even I got a little curious at the news that Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum were all returning. I want it to make sense though, I don’t want fan service.
So the summer film schedule is starting to heat up and as Samuel L. Jackson’s character in the original Jurassic Park stated, we all better “Hold onto your butts!”
