Singer Meatloaf dies aged 74

Meatloaf, the legendary singer and actor (Real name Marvin Lee Aday) sadly passed away on Thursday night.

The vocalist who gave us the cheesy yet unstoppable ballad ‘I will do anything for love (But I won’t do that)‘ and of course ‘Bat out of hell’ sadly passed away last night (Thursday). The cause of death, as of yet, hasn’t been confirmed, but isn’t said to be suspicious. After his death, a post was shared on the artist’s Facebook page.

“Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side. Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours…

“We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man. We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls… don’t ever stop rocking!”

Our thoughts go out to his loved ones who know that his legacy is still very much embedded into popular culture.

Rest in Peace you Legend!
