What makes this first season so interesting is that the entire story is just one day and follows the story of each character. The central point of this episode is Daryl and his survivors, the introduction of the Wolves and maybe a turning point for Abraham and Sasha.

As we open the episode we see Daryl, Abraham and Sasha leading the walkers away from Alexandria before getting ambushed by survivors.  It becomes apparent that they aren’t just running from the walkers, but the wolves who are hot on their heels.  Daryl finding the insulin reveals his humanity is still intact and believes he can save people around him.  Meanwhile Abraham and Sasha share some time together and finally Abraham realises the peace Sasha has found, he yearns for it himself.

As the survivors lose one of their own, they steal Daryl’s bike and gear leaving him stranded away from Alexandria, Rick and all hope. But Daryl finds away, he always does.

The appearance of the Wolves makes you realise how lawless the country has become and outlaws rule the countryside. when one of the Wolves is bitten they cut off his arm to ensure the infection doesn’t spread demonstrating how far society has sunk in the name of survival.

The announcement of Jeffrey Dean Morgan being cast as the Wolves leader, Negan it makes me wonder, have they just done a sly introduction to him? will they follow the comic story? and the question we all want answered is Glenn alive?
