Calling all Bond fans! I introduce to you, ‘Eye on Bond’. iReekofGeek’s new way of bringing you the up-to-date with the latest goings on with the James Bond movie ‘Spectre’ as well as big news in the Bond Universe.
Being a HUGE fan of James Bond since my first glimpse of the super spy while sitting on my Granddad’s knee at the tender age of age years old, I jumped at the opportunity to spy on the super spy himself while filming the latest instalment in the record breaking franchise. With Daniel Craig playing Bond once more and Sam Mendez at the helm, we look to be in for a treat as the production team head to the snowy hills of Austria for their first big location shoot. Shown on German TV, we can see Daniel Craig stopping for casual selfies with fans outside his Austrian Hotel.
With bad weather hampering the filming throughout the shoot, as well as 9 of the production’s cars being stolen, further concerns arise as Daniel Craig was due to shoot a high speed chase scene in Rome but was then forced not to go ahead shooting the scene in Rome’s 16th century fountains because the site was reportedly too “fragile” to handle such scenes.
Italy’s Colture Ministry has commented saying “We have not authorised the sequence at the Quattro Fontane (Four Fountains) because it is too fragile in terms of architecture,”
Producers are becoming concerned that these latest events will hamper the production of the movie and will force a later release date from the proposed November release.
